This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit Park City, Utah. While there we were taking the opportunity to ride on the Alpine Slide. At the top of the ride we noticed nestled back under the trees a gazebo and white chairs. Then along came the wedding party and the bride with her father. How magical it was to see this wedding taking place on the mountainside in a very unique wedding venue.

Successful Backyard Summer Weddings

With only 3 weeks to bring together a wedding that our bride & groom would remember was exhilarating.  There was the threat of rain as the afternoon brought thunder & lightening but providence was on our side and the sun came out with only a slight gentle breeze.  One of the bride’s favorite places is the ocean beaches.  So we incorporated many shades of blue and had seashells scattered around the orchid centerpieces, on the guest sign in table and on the wedding cake.  One of her favorite activities is a barbeque so we had grilled ribs and grilled vegetables on skewers with Rosemary Garlic bread served on each table.  As the evening came to a close the lighted pillars of the pergola provided a great ambiance for dancing under the stars.

Planning a Wedding in 3 Weeks!

Normally weddings are planned 6 – 12 months ahead and there is plenty of time to plan and decide how you want your special day to go.  We were contacted 3 weeks ago to help create a memorable day for a couple who got engaged on July 3 and are getting married on August 3!

We quickly got organized, got the details down and have been working to create a beautiful backyard wedding for a small family and friend gathering.  The bride has a beautiful backyard where the wedding will be held.  It has been a busy time with getting everything planned and ready so that the couple just enjoys the day but it is coming together.  It is truly exciting.  Check back to see the pictures.
